Poll: Should We Blame Exploding Trees or a Climate Arsonist for the West Coast Wildfires?

Are the current California (and Oregon and Washington) wildfires due to exploding trees and leaves?

 

Or are they being worsened by a climate arsonist in the White House?

Birdie Sanders

On a day in which the internet was aflame with the National Enquirer's #CruzSexScandal and Donald Trump's relentless misogyny, I got home from work to find this video from today's Bernie Sanders rally in Portland, Oregon.

While Bernie Sanders gives the little avian attention hog a loving smile, I can't help picturing Donald Trump flinching backward and letting one of his bald goons "take care" of the little feathered creature. That, of course, would never happen. Birds are far from stupid. Birds know kind people and they know to give the unkind a wide berth.

You will know them by their elementary-school spelling grades.

I had a philosophy professor in college who told us that she would stop reading our blue-book exams and fail us if she ran across a single instance of the name "Nietzsche" spelled incorrectly. Shouldn't we hold those self-appointed constitutional scholars and members of #YallQaeda who are currently occupying federal property in Oregon -- but don't seem to be able to spell either "Tyrannical" or "Government" correctly on their printed signs -- to the same high standards?
